Top 50 ERP Software in India (2026) — Education, Business & Open Source

Full disclosure before you read: DigiERP is our own product, built by Digilite Informatics. We have put it first because we believe in it — but the rest of this list is made up of real, established systems, described at category level, and we have not invented a single name or a single statistic to pad it out. Judge every entry here, ours included, against your own process.

If you are choosing ERP software in India, the honest problem is not that there are too few options — it is that fifty of them look identical on a brochure. This list covers fifty real systems that Indian schools, colleges, universities, manufacturers, traders and service companies actually shortlist, grouped so you can jump straight to the section that applies to you.

It is not ranked one to fifty. Ranking a school ERP against an enterprise manufacturing suite would be meaningless — they are not competing for the same buyer. What follows is grouped by who each system is built for, with DigiERP first because it is ours and we will not pretend otherwise.

Education ERP software in India

For schools, colleges and universities — admissions, fees, attendance, examinations, library, hostel and transport in one place.

  • DigiERP — our own product. All modules — admissions, students, fees, attendance, timetable, examinations, library, hostel, transport, payroll and accounts — included together, unlimited users, one annual AMC per institution, implemented by the team that builds it.
  • Fedena — long-running school ERP with roots in an open-source codebase; widely used in K-12.
  • Academia ERP (Serosoft) — built for higher education — universities and multi-programme colleges.
  • MasterSoft — higher-education focused, with attention to accreditation and university reporting.
  • Camu — higher education, outcome-based education and accreditation workflows.
  • Creatrix Campus — higher education suite covering accreditation, outcomes and faculty workflows.
  • Entab CampusCare — school ERP with a strong parent-communication app.
  • Teachmint — classroom-first platform that has grown into school administration.
  • Vidyalaya — established Indian school ERP covering the standard administrative modules.
  • Classe365 — combines student information, learning management and admissions CRM.
  • Ellucian — global higher-education suite used by large universities.
  • MyClassboard — K-12 school management with parent and teacher apps.
  • Skolaro — school management covering admissions through examinations.
  • Edunext — school ERP aimed at day-to-day administration.
  • SchoolPad — school administration and communication platform.

Why DigiERP sits at the top of our list

  • All modules included. Admissions, students, fees, attendance, timetable, examinations, library, hostel, transport, payroll and accounts come together — not sold one at a time, so you are not renegotiating every time you need something.
  • Unlimited users on one annual AMC. Priced per institution, not per student or per user. Adding staff costs nothing, so everyone who touches the process can be in the system — that is the difference between live data and week-old data.
  • Implemented by the people who build it. No reseller in between. The team writing the code does your process mapping, data import and training.
  • Budget friendly for colleges and universities. Because the price does not move when your intake grows, the number you agree in year one is the number you plan around.
  • Your data stays yours. Exportable at any time, with a full handover if you ever leave.

Global enterprise ERP available in India

Deep, capable and expensive. Realistic when you have multiple plants, subsidiaries or international operations — and a budget and timeline to match.

  • SAP S/4HANA — the large-enterprise standard; deep manufacturing and finance, long implementations.
  • SAP Business One — SAP’s mid-market product, usually delivered through partners.

Open-source ERP

No licence fee, but you pay in implementation and maintenance. Sensible if you have technical people in-house or a good implementation partner.

  • Odoo — the most widely adopted open-source ERP; modular, large app ecosystem.
  • ERPNext (Frappe) — open-source ERP built in India, strong community and hosting options.
  • Dolibarr — lightweight open-source ERP and CRM for small businesses.

  • metasfresh — open-source ERP focused on distribution and logistics.

How to judge any system on this list yourself

Feature lists are near-identical across ERP vendors, so they tell you almost nothing. These six questions separate them quickly:

  • Who does the implementation — the vendor, or a reseller? Someone has to sit with your staff and import your records. Find out now who that is.
  • How is it priced? Per-user and per-student licensing charges you for growing and for letting your own people into the system.
  • Show me the awkward cases. A mid-term concession, a refund on withdrawal, a scholarship that lands after the receipt. Ask for the actual screens, not a slide.
  • What happens on your busiest week? Admission fortnight or financial year-end, not a quiet demo afternoon.
  • Will the people who enter data actually use it? If the fee clerk needs a manual, your reports will always be a week stale.
  • How do I get my data out if I leave? A vague answer is the answer.

Which group should you be looking at?

  • A school, college or university — start with the education section. General business ERP handles fees and examinations badly.
  • An SME manufacturer or trader in India — start with the Indian business section, then look at Odoo or ERPNext if you have technical capacity.
  • Multiple plants or overseas entities — the enterprise section is where you belong, and budget for the implementation partner as much as the licence.

Whatever you shortlist, do not start with a demo. Bring one real process — this year’s admission list, or last term’s fee register with its concessions and instalments — and ask to see it running in the system. Half an hour of that tells you more than a two-hour presentation.
