Where education is concentrated in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Bhilai and Durg form the main belt, with Bilaspur serving the north and a widening base of private schools across the mining and industrial towns.
Institutions people in the state will recognise include Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University in Raipur, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya in Bilaspur, IIT Bhilai and NIT Raipur. Around them sits a much larger base of private colleges, affiliated institutes and school groups — and that is where most ERP buying actually happens.

- Teachmint — a school operating system that grew out of online teaching tools.
Some institutions also run a general ERP such as SAP, Oracle or Zoho alongside a separate academic system, and keep accounts in Tally. That works, but it means two systems and a reconciliation problem — which is the thing a single education ERP is meant to remove.
How to choose, without regretting it in year two
Feature lists all look the same in a brochure. What separates the systems is what happens after the sale.
- Ask who does the implementation. The vendor, or a reseller you have never met? Somebody has to sit with your clerk and import ten years of student records.
- Ask how it is priced. Per student and per user pricing quietly punishes you for growing, and for letting your own staff use the system.
- Ask about the fee module specifically. Concessions, instalments, late fees, refunds and scholarship adjustments are where most education ERPs fall apart.
- Ask what happens at admission season. The system has to hold up on the busiest fortnight of your year, not on a quiet Tuesday demo.
- Ask how you get your data out. If the answer is vague, that is the answer.
What it should cost
There is no single figure, and anyone who quotes one before seeing your process is guessing. What moves the price is the number of campuses, whether you need higher-education features like affiliation and multi-programme structures, and how much of your existing data has to be imported.
